Hanoi - Halong – Ninh Binh - Phong Nha – Hue – Da Nang - Hoi An - My Son

What to expect?
The journey is designated of many heritage destinations in Vietnam, opportunity to learn about its history and culture, which will be touchable from the capital city of Hanoi to My Son Sanctuary. Start with elderly and sparkling Hanoi. Go for sightseeing and feel the unique landscapes of Ha Long Bay, discover the amazing hidden beauty of Phong Nha caves, come to historical city of Hue, before harboring the charming ancient Hoi An. End the tour with unforgettable impressions at My Son Sanctuary.

Itinerary:

Day 1: Hanoi Arrival
You are welcomed and transferred to the hotel. If time permits, take a short visit by foot before enjoying your first night in Vietnam's capital.

Day 2: Hanoi City Tour (B/L)
Hanoi is a city of millennium years in history and culture. The city is covered with green trees such as the milky pine flowers trees, creating the senses of attractive and romantic daily lifestyles. Hoan Kiem Lake is famous for its legend of the ‘Uncle Turtles’, represent the hidden historic of the Le Dynasty. Today we begin at 8:00 A.M at the One Pillar Pagoda and Uncle Ho Mausoleum, then shopping around the Old Quarters, each specializes in a different handicraft. After visiting the most important Temple of Van Mieu, you can’t miss a chance to visit Ethnology Museum, a collection of 54 peoples in Vietnam. If time permits, go for a walk on Long Bien Iron Bridge, built by French architect Eiffel. Enjoy the Water Puppets show, a popular entertainment in Hanoi to complete the day.

Day 3: Hanoi - Halong Bay (B/L/D)
3,5 hours drive from Hanoi, Halong is also known as the ‘Descending Dragon’ from the old Vietnamese legend. Recognized by UNESCO as Natural World Heritage site, Halong Bay contains thousands of beautiful limestone islands, emerging from emerald water all with intriguing and varied shapes. Have seafood lunch on board before stop in some beautiful caves. You can also have a bath on small beach or you may try a kayak at sunset to explore the Bay before the day ends.

Day 4: Halong - Ninh Binh (B/L)
Sunrise breakfast at 7:00 A.M. and cruise around the clear and emerald water to visit another part of Halong Bay with a close up view of stunning limestone peals such as Drum Cave, Man’s head Islet, passing some fishing villages on the way…. Midday arrives to Halong city, after lunch on board. Driving about 3hours to Ninh Binh and visit Bich Dong cave and pagoda in the late afternoon.

Day 5: Ninh Binh - Vinh - Dong Hoi (B/L)
7.30 A.M. After breakfast, we drive 8 hours on the famous Ho Chi Minh Road heading to the South. We will stop for lunch in local restaurant; you have many opportunities to take some pictures along the way with friendly people and wonderful landscapes.

Day 6: Dong Hoi - Phong Nha Cave - Hue (B/L)
8:00 A.M. Go ahead to Quang Binh province and visit the longest Cave Phong Nha. That is a mysterious cave which retains its original forms of stalactites and stalagmites in Quang Binh province. Take a boat trip to explore the beauty scenery along the waterways, mountains, activities by the local people. This is the most beautiful underground lake, which was recognized by the UNESCO as the second Natural World Heritage Site in Vietnam. Have a lunch at a local restaurant and continue driving 4 hours to Hue for overnight.

Days 7: Cycling in Hue (B/L)
Hue is one of the most scenic city and with many unique beauties about Hue’s people and lifestyles. At 8h00 AM, we take a bus to begin a busy day at the Imperial Citadel, which was a capital city under the feudal system from 1802 to 1945, and still a lot of historical relics remaining in this city. Lunch at local restaurant.
In the afternoon, take a cycling around Hue, including the feudal Tomb of Tu Duc and the famous Bronze Village. View the most stunning atmosphere along the Perfume River running from heart of the city into the sea-mouth. The city is still remaining a haven of peace; its natural landscape is only partly disturbed. The garden homes can only be found in Hue. Take free time for dinner.

Day 8: Hue Hoi An (B/L)
Spend about 3 and half an hour heading south in the morning. If it is fine, we will pass the Hai Van Pass and take some of most breathtaking photos from Vietnam most grandiose gate. Stop for some refreshment on the virgin fish men beach of Lang Co. Upon arriving at Da Nang City, we visit the shrines of the Marble Mountains, go up to the top for discovering the fantastic view of China Beach. Take time in a traditional village where we can see thousands of artisans making Buddha, elephant, dragon from Marble rocks.
Continue driving to Hoi An for lunch. This is a charming city and used to be a prosperous seaport during the 16th to 18th centuries. Its narrow streets and feel the sense of centuries past. In the afternoon, we explore the old quarter, including some of the most ancient houses, temple, ceramic museum and local riverside market and perhaps order some famous silk clothes just for several hours. Incredible! Take time in Hoi An Charity Centre where disabled children and orphans live and study to end the day.

Day 9: Hoi An - My Son (B/L)
After breakfast, you will leave hotel to visit My Son Sanctuary, one of the oldest civilization of Cham people. Try yourself to discover the attractions on this land: from special constructions of the tower to its survival over hundred years of natural disasters and wars, from the unique dances to special skills in making terracotta. Lunch served at a local restaurant.
Spend the afternoon on boat exploring fishman’s lifestyle in some local villages and going on to see the sunset at the estuary where the river meets the sea.
If time left, be free to have a sunbath at Cua Dai beach or further exploration in Hoi An Ancient town.

Day 10: Hoi An Da Nang Departure (B)
Free time for shopping, sea, sand, sun. Transfer to Da Nang for your departure flight.
Tour ends at the airport or your hotel.
